LabVIEW Enabled...

The MotionMonitor™ Labview Enabled simplifies the use of Ascension Technology's magnetic trackers in LabVIEW.  Setup, configuration, and data capture are all controlled by The MotionMonitor™.  Then, the captured data is exported real time to the Bird.vi and can be incorporated into other vi's created by the user.

To get started the user simply executes his/her copy of LabVIEW and opens the bird.vi supplied with the The MotionMonitor™ software.  You will find it in the root directory (default c:\program files\innsport).

This generates the Bird.vi display which may be changed and/or incorporated within another vi in order to satisfy the unique research needs of the user.

At this point the user should start The MotionMonitor™ LabVIEW Enabled application Whether the user is using the Flock of Birds, miniBirds or MotionStar with TCP/IP, RS232 or ISA interfaces, The MotionMonitor™ 's easy-to-use, drop-down menus make configuration and setup simple and easy

Once configuration and setup are complete, a simple checkbox in the Setup|Edit Capture Parameters...  will ensure that the user's data is exported in real time to the Bird.vi as well as any other vi's created by the user.

The user can modify the data format to be used when exporting data to LabVIEW.

At this point, the user can click the Record button to initiate capture of data within The MotionMonitor™ Data is exported in real time and displayed in the Bird.vi. In the image below, The MotionMonitor™ 's window is displayed in the bottom left and the data capture window in the center indicates that data is currently being collected and exported to LabVIEW.  In the top right the Bird.vi is displaying the number of sensors being run as well as the measurement rate. The Bird.vi is currently displaying the position and euler angles for Bird #8. To date, data has been collected at 120 hz on 8 birds without dropped frames.
